Doesn’t it sound stupid? As a streak requires at least 2 consecutive actions.
😈 But the discoverability of the feature improves if you show that stupid popup to a user.
Pausing a streak? That is completely childish and narcissistic. Who are you fooling if not yourself when “pausing” a streak?

Chess.com removed their streaks feature this month. What a brilliant move!

That I get in a tear-off calendar, where each day brings new puzzle.
Tear off calendar gives you a feeling of keeping daily streak. That’s how old this feature is, that how deep it is in our culture. What other old school things can we get inspiration from to drive growth?
Another day is gone, another puzzle solved. In a growth team we need to balance the business needs and doing good. Let it be the year of doing good only!
